Signal is a private members app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

When you join Signal, we collect:
We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising purposes.
Your profile is visible to other verified Signal members only. It is not publicly accessible on the internet.
Your data is stored securely using Supabase. Data may be stored on servers outside South Africa. We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorised access.
If you allow push notifications, we store a device token to send you updates. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

This section is the account and data deletion request page for the Signal app, operated by Analogue Ventures. Signal is an invitation-only members app, so accounts are created by the community administrator rather than by signing up. To have your account and data deleted:
What is deleted: your name, email address, phone number, profile photo, city, birthday, professional details, bio, social and website links, your posts and comments, your event RSVPs and attendance, your saved shipping address, and your device push notification token. Your member account is removed and you can no longer sign in.
What is kept, and for how long: records of completed orders and payments are retained for 5 years where South African tax and financial record-keeping law requires it. These are kept for legal compliance only and are not used to contact you. Backups are purged on a rolling 30-day cycle.
